The simplification of regulatory issues for Polish enterprises in Ukraine and Ukrainian companies in Poland, as well as the announcement of the creation of the White Paper concerning defining problem areas in mutual economic relations that need to be resolved - were the main findings of a meeting between delegations from Poland and Ukraine at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The talks were attended, among others, by the Government Plenipotentiary for Polish-Ukrainian Development Cooperation, Jadwiga Emilewicz and Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov.
Ukraine needs a trusted, proven partner to support its post-war reconstruction. Poland is best prepared for the role of a logistics and shipping hub that would strengthen this process
- Jadwiga Emilewicz said at a meeting with a delegation from Ukraine led by the country's Deputy Prime Minister for post-war reconstruction, Oleksandr Kubrakov.
We also count on Ukraine's support of Poland's inclusion in the Steering Committee of the G7 Donor Coordination Platform
- Deputy Minister Emilewicz added.
The meeting between representatives of both countries, which took place in the Prime Minister's Office, was also attended on the Polish side by Minister, Michał Dworczyk and the former Minister of Finance, Tadeusz Kościński. The Ukrainian party was represented by Deputy Minister for European Integration, Anna Yurchenko, Deputy Minister for Community, Territories and Infrastructure Development, Oleksandra Azarkina and Head of the State Agency for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, Mustafa Masi Nayyem, as well as Ruslan Perun from the Ukrainian Embassy in Warsaw.
Both sides declared the continuation of bilateral talks with the overarching goal of post-war reconstruction of Ukraine and, in the longer term, Ukraine's accession to the European Union. Regular Polish-Ukrainian consultations in this area were also agreed. Representatives of chambers of commerce and business support institutions (PAIH and KUKE), as well as Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, also participated in the talks.
