Over PLN 46 billion from the SG OP for investments until the end of 2022.

18.05.2023

The annual report for 2022 is the main topic of today's meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020 with the online participation of the Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy, Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak.

Over PLN 46 billion from the SG OP for investments until the end of 2022.

Since the launch of the programme until the end of 2022, the SG OP 2014-2020 allocated more than PLN 46 billion for investments, thus exceeding the allocation of the entire programme, which is close to PLN 42 billion.

The entire amount was transferred for the implementation of more than 14.5 thousand research and implementation projects, thus increasing the competitiveness and innovation of Polish entrepreneurs. By the end of 2022, more than 60 per cent of these investments, i.e. nearly 9 thousand projects, were completed. The value of completed projects represents more than 30 per cent of the available allocation

- said Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak, Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy.

In 2022, under the SG OP 2014-2020, the implementation of instruments to mitigate the negative impacts of COVID-19 continued, including:

  • the loan fund financial instrument,
  • the guarantee fund in a formula extended to include the additional possibility of covering working capital loans with SG OP guarantees,
  • REACT-EU loan fund.

Since the beginning of the SG OP, agreements have been signed for the amount of co-financing, which constitutes more than 110 per cent of the allocation, while the European Commission has so far been requested for EU funds amounting to EUR 8.4 billion from the ERDF, i.e. almost 95 per cent of the total allocation.

I am convinced that these concluding investments will contribute to further development of the Polish economy

- the deputy head of the MDFRP added.
