PLN 332 million for investment - the next disbursement of funds from the NRP has started

New places in nurseries, modernization of SMEs in agriculture, thermal modernization of housing, computers for schools - these are the investments for which disbursements from the NRP started today. More than PLN 332 million will go to beneficiaries.

The money comes from an advance payment - EUR 5 billion - that was sent to Poland at the end of December from the REPowerEU program, which is part of the NRP.

The subsidy part of the advance, over EUR 550 million (approx. PLN 2.5 billion), is used for current financing of investments by the Polish Development Fund. So far, more than PLN 53 million has been paid out.

On January 18 this year Polish Development Fund will disburse more than PLN 322 million to support more projects.

- The money from the NRP and structural funds is huge, it will translate into every area of our lives. The key is to invest them well, stresses Minister of Funds and Regional Policy Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

The minister noted that funds from the REPowerEU advance will go to farmers, among others.

– We have already signed 40,000 contracts for modernization and infrastructure in agriculture – said Minister Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.

PLN 332 million for investments from subsequent payments from the NRP

The REPowerEU advance funds transferred on January 18 will be used for investment in several areas:

  • increasing the availability of child care places for children under three years of age - subsidizing the cost of construction or renovation of buildings where care will be provided, such as modernization of nurseries - about PLN 1 million;
  • jobs for people at risk of social exclusion - PLN 2.8 million;
  • farmers and fishermen and SMEs in the agri-food sector for projects on infrastructure equipment and modernization (production facilities, warehouses, machinery, low- and zero-emission vehicles, information systems to support production processes, etc.) and distribution and storage centers, wholesale markets - PLN 20.3 million;
  • thermal modernization of residential buildings - PLN 1.8 million;
  • increasing the energy efficiency of single- and multi-family buildings and the dissemination of low-carbon energy sources - reimbursement under the Clean Air Programme - PLN 200 million;
  • equalizing the level of equipment of primary and secondary schools with portable computer equipment with software - vouchers for teachers for the purchase of laptops - PLN 96.2 million.
