Workshops for beneficiaries of the EFEP programme launched
01.06.2023
The European Funds for Eastern Poland (EFEP ) are now available and the implementation of the programme is gaining momentum. To meet the needs of beneficiaries, the Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy has launched a series of workshops on how to obtain support from the programme. Today we met in Kielce. The workshop was opened by Deputy Minister Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak and Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Andrzej Bętkowski.
We offer beneficiaries a unique opportunity to prepare for reaching for the European Funds - workshops in the region with experts from institutions conducting calls for proposals. We want to provide both companies and local authorities with the fullest and ”first-hand” information about the opportunities and conditions for obtaining the support. All of this is to ensure that applications for funding are of the highest quality and that the programme money works efficiently in the economy
- said Małgorzata Jarosińska-Jedynak, Deputy Minister of Development Funds and Regional Policy.
The workshop part, addressed to companies and local authorities, was led by experts from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the Ministry of Climate and Environment - the programme's Intermediate Bodies.
Further workshops will be held in Rzeszów, Radom, Lublin, Olsztyn and Białystok.
During the meetings, it will be possible to ask questions relating to the preparation of applications for funding and the conditions for obtaining the support. The meeting schedule and sign-up form are available at: www.warsztatyfepw.pl.
I have no doubt that in the voivodeships covered by the Eastern Poland programme, including the Świętokrzyskie region, enormous changes took place, demonstrating great determination in the use of EU funds. It is with great hopes that we enter the next implementation period of the European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021-2027 programme. I am convinced that well-analysed investment of EU funds will make Świętokrzyskie a better place to live in and its competitiveness will also increase
- said Andrzej Bętkowski, the Marshal.
The European Funds for Eastern Poland programme is the best example of how Cohesion Policy was designed. With support from the European Union's budget of more than PLN 12 billion, Poland's most deprived regions are given the opportunity to develop infrastructure and transport, entrepreneurship, the efficiency of the electricity grid for green energy distribution and tourism. In the era of current challenges, it is through this programme that the inhabitants of the regions covered will have the opportunity not only to improve their standard of living, but above all to increase their sense of security
- said Angela Martinez-Sarasola, Head of the Polish Unit in the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy.
European Funds for Eastern Poland
The European Funds for Eastern Poland 2021-2027 programme is a continuation of support for five voivodeships of the macro-region - Lubelskie, Podlaskie, Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie. A new feature of this edition is that the programme also covers a part of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship - excluding Warsaw and its nine surrounding districts.
The European Funds for Eastern Poland provide further funds for key investments in accelerating the pace of development of the macro-region. It is worth to invest them, as previous editions of support for Eastern Poland producedt very good results - emphasised the Deputy Minister.
Calls are currently in progress in the following competitions: Start-up platforms for new ideas - competition for innovation centres as animators of start-up platforms and Design in SMEs.
In the coming weeks, further calls for proposals will be launched in competitions addressed, among others, to companies and local authorities. Entrepreneurs will be able to apply for grants in the areas of automation and robotisation and the circular economy. A competition for start-ups will be launched in the autumn, and by the end of the year, tourism entrepreneurs will be able to benefit from dedicated loans. In turn, competitions in the areas of climate change adaptation, sustainable urban mobility, voivodeship road infrastructure and sustainable tourism will be targeted to LGUs. In the second half of the year, EFEP competitions will be launched for investments oriented to active nature and biodiversity conservation at NATURA 2000 sites.
The schedule of calls for proposals is available at www.fepw.gov.pl/#Nabory wniosków.
