Europe's largest stationary hackathon again in Cracow!

HackYeah is Europe's largest stationary hackathon focused on creating innovative solutions to important problems in today's world. Every year, thousands of programmers, designers and IT enthusiasts from more than a dozen countries join the event. In addition to an unforgettable experience for participants, the organizers provide hectoliters of coffee, obscene amounts of pizza and, of course, the opportunity to win big cash prizes and the latest technology gadgets. During the 24-hour programming marathon, participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills and network with IT professionals. The ninth edition of the GovTech-supported HackYeah hackathon will take place on 30.09-01.10.2023 at Krakow's Tauron Arena.

Meet the challenge with a prize pool of 120,000 PLN!

Topic: educational search engine

Task description: Creating effective tools that help in making key life decisions is not only a challenge, but also a necessity nowadays. Especially when we are talking about decisions as important as choosing the right educational institution or field of study. Your task is to create an innovative search engine concept that will allow users to easily and accurately find the school, educational institution or field of study that best suits their individual needs. Your solution can become part of the Education and Science Portal - edukacja.gov.pl.

In addition, you can take part in the challenges prepared as part of the #HackSQL project, which is part of "Program Cities with GovTech by PFR and aims to foster innovation in the field of education and the idea of lifelong learning, i.e. lifelong learning, thus activating the population, increasing their digital competence and adapting to new trends and needs in the labor market.

By buying a ticket you support  charity foundation

It is the custom of the organizers to donate ticket proceeds to charitable institutions. In 2022, they supported the Sarigato Foundation and their Hackers project. The profit was used to educate children in need, developing their digital competencies and giving them equal access to education. This year, all proceeds from basic tickets will be donated to the foundation founded by Tomasz Rozek - “Nauka. To lubię” which is dedicated to popularizing science and supporting young talents. By registering for the event, you are supporting a good cause.
