Summary of the holidays with Mobile Future Labs

Holidays are a time for travel, fun and enjoyment. This is how we can summarise the summer months of work of the Mobile Future Labs teams, who, after the end of the school year, conducted classes on the latest technologies wherever students were on their summer holidays. During the two summer months, Mobile Future Labs visited as many as 137 locations across Poland and conducted workshops for about 30,000 participants.

Community centers, libraries, institutions organizing 'Summer in the City', scout camps, various holiday festivals and festivals have become spaces filled with new technologies. This was all thanks to the Mobile Future Labs teams, who popularized technology and developed the future competences of children and young people during fascinating activities. 

3D printers and pens, artificial intelligence, microcontrollers, LEGO bricks, Photon and Dash robots, VR goggles and the interactive SmartFloor brought imagination to life, stimulated creativity and developed teamwork skills in the participants.

Hundreds of young people explored the fascinating world of technology and creative thinking during workshops at scout camps. We demonstrated microcontrollers, taught how to design, program and print three-dimensional objects. There were also mini-lectures, e.g. on what artificial intelligence is and its role in the modern world. Together with the scouts, we explored the possibilities of robotics and also created projects using 3D pens. During the workshop, we emphasized the importance of collaboration, problem-solving skills and curiosity - key skills in today's world. The workshops not only awaken young people's passion for new technologies, but also inspired them to independent learning and creative thinking in the future.

After the summer holidays, the Mobile Future Labs teams will return to conducting classes in primary schools.

After the intensive school year of 2022/23, when the 16 provincial Mobile Future Labs teams traveled 640,000 kilometers, visited almost 100% of the Polish districts and delivered workshops to tens of thousands of pupils, an equally intensive summer holiday has arrived. For two months, in often unusual natural settings: in the woods, at lakes, by the sea and among the mountains, we spread STEAM education among children and young people. The greatest reward for us were the smiles and enthusiastic reactions of the young recipients of our programme. And already at the beginning of September we are returning with activities to primary schools!

The Laboratories of the Future is Poland's largest educational and technological programme carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science in cooperation  with its partners. Thanks to this unique - not only nationwide, but also internationally - investment in education, primary schools and general art schools have been provided with modern equipment worth more than 1 billion PLN. 3D printers, audio-video equipment or microcontrollers have been obligatorily used in school classes since September 2022 and have allowed students to develop the competences of the future, carry out their own projects and improve skills useful in the modern labor market.

From September 2022, Mobile Future Labs are supporting  students and teachers in a practical way in using the possibilities of the equipment purchased under the Mobile Future Labs programme. Participation is free of charge and interested schools themselves can apply to invite Mobile Future Labs via a form at laboratoria.gov.pl.

In July and August, Mobile Future Labs teams conducted more than 1,000 workshop meetings that were attended by more than 30,000 participants in 137 locations:
