Concert of film music on the occasion of the Polish Presidency in the Platform Culture Central Europe (PCCE)

On December 6th, 2021 the Platform Culture Central Europe (PCCE) presented a concert of film music “Cinema in Music – Central European Composers for the Cinema” at Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavik.
The concert featured the music of renowned film music composers from five different Central European countries, including Judit Varga, Michal Novinski, Attila Pacsay, Wojciech Kilar, Krzysztof Komeda, Henryk Wars and Markéta Irglová. The repertoire was arranged by Zbigniew Zychowicz.
In 2021 Poland holds the rotating presidency of the PCCE. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the Platform. It was launched in Vienna in 2001 with the objective of promoting the culture of the Central European region and fostering cooperation in the area of culture between the member countries: Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
The event was organized by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Slovak Republic and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Reykjavik.
