2. Time and place for inspecting the asset:
Prior to submitting an offer, a party interested in purchasing the asset may inspect the asset itself at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Reykjavik, Þórunnartún 2 St. from 4th to 22nd of May, on normal working days, from 9hrs to 15hrs . In order to do so, such a party should contact the Embassy in advance (tel. +354 520 50 51, e-mail: magdalena.wnorowska@msz.gov.pl.
3. Asking price , security deposit
The Seller has set the asking price at the level of ISK 371 200 (in words: three hundred seventy one thousand two hundred ISK).
- A prior payment of a security deposit amounting to ISK 37 120 is required to submit an offer for the tender. The deposit ought to be paid in cash at the Embassy cash desk.
- Failure to pay the security deposit within the deadline will result in rejection of the offer.
- The security deposits transferred by the bidders whose offers were not selected or were disregarded will be returned within 7 days upon the selection or disregard, respectively.
- The security deposit transferred by the Buyer shall be considered as and counted towards the payment of the final price.
- The security deposit shall not be returned in the event the Bidder who has won the tender refuses to conclude the sales agreement.
Time, location, and manner of submitting bids
- Bids should be submitted by delivering them in sealed envelopes to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Reykjavík (Þórunnartún 2, 105 Reykjavik).
- The correspondence should be marked „ Tender for Sale of Mitsubishi Outlander II ”
- Bids may be submitted on any working day until 12 p.m. Icelandic local time, no later than on May 25, 2020.
Requirements for submitted bid offers
A bid offer ought to include:
- Full name and place of residence (in case of physical persons) or the company name and registered seat (for legal persons), contact telephone number, e-mail address.
- Offered price – not lower than the asking price (in digit and in words)
- Copy of the security deposit confirmation payment
- Bidder’s statement stating (appendix no. 1) that:
- She/he has familiarized herself/himself with the legal and actual state of the car and has no reservations or claims, or that is aware of the consequences arising from resigning from an inspection.
- in the case if his offer is chosen - I undertake to pay the seller the declared price, and also undertake to pay all costs related to the purchase of the vehicle, including taxes / customs duties, registration fee and other charges, as required by the Icelandic authorities or other authorities the country to which the vehicle will go after sale.
4. Time and place of tender
The opening and comparison of offers will take place in the Seller’s office at Þórunnartún 2 St. in Reykjavik on May 26, 2020 at 12 p.m. local time.
5. Miscellaneous information
- The tender committee shall inform all bidders whose bids have been disregarded due to these reasons by sending them a notice to the e-mail address specified in the bidding offer.
- A physical person who is also the winner of the tender is obligated to have: identification, proof of payment of security deposit, and a signed statement stating either that he has familiarized himself with the legal and actual state of the car. In addition, a representative of a legal entity is also obligated to present an appropriate power of attorney and an up-to-date excerpt from the court register. Any copies of original excerpts must be certified as true copies of the originals.
- The Buyer is obligated to pay his offered price in full within the period specified by the Seller, at the latest in day of the sales agreement is signed.
- Conclusion of the sales agreement will be offered to the Buyer who offers the highest price. The Bidder is obliged to appear to conclude the contract within the period specified by the Seller. The sales contract will be concluded no later than after 14 days from the day of opening the offers. If the Bidder does not appear within the specified time limit, the security deposit will be forfeited to the Seller, the Seller will propose to buy the vehicle to the next Bidder who submitted the next highest price offer.
- The tender committee shall disregard any offers which either have been submitted after the specified deadline or are incomplete or have been submitted by a Bidder who had not secured the security deposit.
- The Seller is the sole owner of the car. The car is free of any legal defects, is not encumbered with any third-party rights and is not subject to any ongoing court or execution proceedings.
- The car shall be handed over to the buyer directly after the offered price has been paid and the sales agreement was signed.
- The car was exempt from customs duties at the time of purchase, therefore a Buyer who is not a diplomat in Iceland will be obliged to pay them. The Buyer shall incur any and all additional costs related to the registration of the car, including fees and taxes.
- The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Reykjavik reserves the right to change the time and date of the tender or to cancel the tender without disclosing the reason.
