Short Course - Polish as a heritage language

Kurs języka polskiego Short Course - Polish as a heritage language dla szkół irlandzkich został przygotowany w 2014 r. przez Ambasadę RP w Dublinie. Kurs obejmuje 100 godzin w ciągu 2 lat (po 50 godzin lekcyjnych) i jest oparty na podstawie wytycznych dla cyklu Junior (DES, 2015). Schemat godzin ustala Dyrektor Szkoły. Średnio Short Course odbywa się raz lub 2 razy w tygodniu po ok. 2 godziny lekcyjne po zajęciach (lub w ramach godzin szkolnych) w ciągu roku. Short Course może być wprowadzony w Secondary Schools więc dotyczy uczniów powyżej 12 roku życia (tzw. Junior Cycle). Wybór Short Course w szkole ponadpodstawowej zależy wyłącznie od decyzji Dyrektora danej szkoły.

Short course – Polish as a heritage language for Irish schools was established in 2014 by the Polish Embassy in Dublin. A course secures 100 hours within 2 years (each year 50 class hours) and is based on the guidelines for Junior Cycle (DES, 2015). The timing schedule is provided by the School Director. On average, short course is held once or twice per week for approx. 2 class hours after normal school hours (or during school hours) within the year. Short Course can be introduced at Secondary Schools, thus it applies to pupils over 12 years of age (the so-called Junior Cycle). The choice of Short Course at secondary schools does solely depend on the decision of the Principal of the school.

W wyniku starań placówki, od września 2017 r. Short Course z języka polskiego został wprowadzony jako program pilotażowy we współpracy z Post Primary Language Iniciative PPLI - organizacją irlandzką w 4 szkołach średnich na terenie Irlandii. W 2018 r. Short Course został wprowadzony w kolejnych szkołach: w Galway oraz 2 szkołach w Clondalkin – Dublin 22.

Since September 2017 thanks to the Embassy's efforts Short Course of Polish language has been introduced as pilot programme in cooperation with the Post Primary Language Initiative PPLI – Irish organization in 4 secondary schools in Ireland. In 2018, Short Course has commenced its activity additionally in 2 schools in Clondalkin – Dublin 22 and in one school in Galway.
