Apostille

An apostille is a statement that a given document comes from a competent authority - an apostille confirms the authenticity of the signature and seal of a foreign official. Thanks to this you can use a foreign official document in Poland.

Poland is a party to the Hague Convention on the Abolition of the Requirement for Legalisation of Foreign Public Documents of October 5, 1961. Jordan has not acceded to this convention. This means that in order to be able to use a document originating from Jordan in Poland, it is necessary to obtain legalisation.

The consul is not engaged in any way in obtaining the apostille.

If a foreign authority requires the apostille on a Polish document, please read the information available on Polish MFA website
