About the Media Literacy Guidepost
The “Media Literacy Guidepost” vortal was launched in February 2013 within the website of the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT).
The specific nature and diversity of media have triggered dynamic development of media education and the need for promoting, popularising and advancing the same in Poland.
To this end, a project was launched to construct a vortal bringing together in a single place information and materials concerning all types of initiatives, projects, meetings and news in the field of media education, primarily from Poland, but also from around the world.
By definition, the vortal is public. It is free and generally available.
The vortal’s primary purpose is to educate and inform the public about what, where and when is scheduled to happen in the field of media education, how media education can be conducted, how and with what tools it can be researched, and also, among other things, where to look for inspiration.
