Further Russian and Belarusian channels removed by the National Broadcasting Council (NBC) from the register of TV channels

On 4 March 2022, NBC adopted a resolution to remove the following Russian and Belarusian channels from the "Register of television programs distributed exclusively in the teleinformation system and distributed programs”:
Belarus 24 (also known as: TV Belarus) and Pyervyi channel (also known as Channel 1 Russia, ORT1).
The programs are deleted from the register because their content is posing a threat to national security and defense.
The National Broadcasting Council adopted the Resolution pursuant to Article 9(1), Article 45(3)(1a) and (4) of the Act of 29 December 1992 on Broadcasting, authorizing the President to make decisions based on this Resolution immediately enforceable.
