Poland in Kuwait

On May 7, 2024, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland hosted a National Day reception at The Regency Hotel in Kuwait to celebrate May 3rd Constitution Day. The ceremony was attended by a large group of invited guests, including the Deputy Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Mr. Muhammad Hayatee, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense, H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Mishal Mubarak Al-Sabah, as well as a large representation of diplomats accredited in Kuwait and Polish expatriates living in this part of the Persian Gulf, alongside representatives from various sectors including culture, business, military, and journalism.

The ceremony was opened by Anna Godoj-Ciszkowska, Chargé d'Affaires of the Polish Embassy in Kuwait. In a brief speech, she provided insights into Polish-Kuwaiti relations, emphasizing military and economic cooperation. She highlighted the launch of a direct air connection from Kuwait to Krakow via Jazeera Airways, which is expected to significantly increase tourist traffic between the two countries.

Polish musicians working in Kuwaiti music schools, Mrs. Kinga and Mr. Karol Masternak, performed several classical music pieces. Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy Polish cuisine prepared in Kuwait.
