Polish Aid call for proposals 2025

The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Lebanon invites all interested Lebanese organizations to take part in a call for applications for projects implemented with the Polish Aid Small Grants scheme in 2025.
Who can apply?
• Local non-governmental organizations, associations, foundations
• Public utility institutions
• Administration at the central and local level
The applying entity must be officially registered in the Lebanese Republic.
What are the thematic areas?
The project proposal submitted to the Embassy of Poland in Beirut needs to fit into the following areas:
1. Equal Opportunities - Education
a) Providing high-quality education at all levels, which corresponds to contemporary challenges and modern standards, and increasing the number of students.
b) Removing all barriers - both physical and mental - in access to education at all levels, including equalization of educational opportunities for girls and young women, orphaned children and children at risk of exclusion due to disability.
c) Improving the quality and conditions of education, as well as the infrastructure of educational institutions, taking into account safe and hygienic conditions, access to water and electricity (in particular with the use of renewable sources).
2. Equal opportunities - entrepreneurship and decent work
a) support for the development of entrepreneurship by creating new jobs andimproving the functioning of small and medium-sized enterprises, especially in the following sectors: agri-food (including food processing and storage), waste management (including recycling), with particular emphasis on the situation of women and people at risk of social exclusion.
3. Equal opportunities – sustainable cities
a) improving the quality of life of residents through the revitalization of urban spaces, modernization of public buildings, especially in terms of fire protection and improving access to municipal services, as well as increasing
the participation of residents in the management of urban space.
4. Climate and natural resources
a) Strengthening adaptability and resilience to climate threats and natural disasters, and also increasing the level of education and awareness in this area.
b) Increasing energy efficiency and access to energy services from renewable sources and energy-saving technologies, in particular in public utilities.
How to apply?
Please fill-in the Grant Application Form (to be downloaded below) and send it to: mariusz.mieczkowski@msz.gov.pl by March 15th, 2025 at the latest. You are free to include any attachments you find relevant to the application.
THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF FINANCING YOU CAN REQUEST IS 25 000 US DOLLARS AND THE TIME-SPAN OF THE PROJECT SHALL NOT EXTEND BEYOND DECEMBER 2025.
Usually the results of the call for applications are published around May or June, thus the project duration cannot extend six months (June - December 2025).
You can, but are not required to, contribute financially to the implementation of the project. We do, however, encourage the applicants to include some information about their possible engagement in the project proposal, be it a financial, in-kind or any other way of contribution.
Important notice
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut does not pre-finance the project activities, but reimburses the funds incurred for their implementation. All payments are made by the Embassy when the contractual tasks have been completed, on the basis of invoices presented by the beneficiary. It means that the applying institution first needs to finance the project activities from its own budget and will be reimbursed once they are completed. There exists a possibility to divide project into several stages and get reimbursement after each of them is completed.
Results of the call for applications
Due to the high volume of applications received every year, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Beirut reserves the right to respond only to the selected applicants. The results of the call for applications will be published on the Embassy's website around May/June 2025.
