Meeting of Embassy of Poland representatives at the Malaysian Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)

On March 16,2021 representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland - Head of the Political and Economic Section, Mr. Maciej Tumulec and Attaché, Mr. Jan Jakub Uziębło, met with Mr. Mohan Low Han Sen - Head of the "Digital Creative Content" department at the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) government agency.
Mr. Mohan Low represented Malaysia during the webinar "GameDev Industries in Poland and ASEAN Countries", which took place on March 25,2021. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Jasni Zain, Head of the "Research & Ecosystem Development" department. MDEC representatives responded positively to the initiative to organise the webinar. They expressed their conviction that the webinar contributed to a better understanding of the specifics of the gamedev industries in Poland and ASEAN countries and in the longer term to start B2B cooperation as well. MDEC representatives also positively received the information about the cooperation of the Polish CI Games and Malaysian Streamline Studios, initiated in 2020 with the game "Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts" (more information at the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl7eJ_gtq8c&t=5s).
It was agreed that the gamedev industry in Poland and Malaysia perfectly complement each other due to their different characteristics and both parties may benefit from such cooperation. MDEC representatives were impressed by the rapid development of the gaming industry in Poland and the creation of many famous titles in the gaming world.
The meeting was also a good opportunity to present the Game Industry Conference, which will take place on November 19-21,2021 in Poznań.
