Meeting of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Malaysia with the Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia

During a working lunch on July 23, 2020, Ambassador Krzysztof Dębnicki met with the Secretary General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) of Malaysia, Mr. Lokman Hakim Ali.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Hairil Yahri Yaacob, and the Senior Director of the Department of Bilateral Economic and Trade Relations, Mr. Nor Hasnah Badroodin; while the Embassy of the Republic of Poland was represented by the Head of the Political and Economic Section, Mr. Maciej Tumulec and the Attaché, Mr. Jan Jakub Uziębło. A wide range of Polish-Malaysian economic cooperation was discussed at the meeting, including food processing technologies and equipment, environmentally friendly technologies and the potentials of the IT industry.

 

Plans for official bilateral visits and trade missions were also discussed during the meeting. The parties had agreed that in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of establishing Polish-Malaysian diplomatic relations in 2021, next year will be a very good opportunity to strengthen mutual relations in the area of trade and promotion.

 

Ambassador Dębnicki thanked the Secretary General of MITI for his personal support to import to Poland the protective equipment to fight COVID-19.
