Mrs. Bogumiła Magdalena Mischke appointed as the new Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bandar Seri Begawan

We are very pleased to announce the completion of the nomination procedure for the new Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei Darussalam), Mrs. Bogumiła Magdalena Mischke.
In accordance with the decision of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Consul Mischke was appointed to perform this honourable function for a period of five years with jurisdiction in the territory of the State of Brunei Darussalam.
Consul B. Mischke has been associated with Brunei Darussalam for eighteen years. Since 2002, she has been the Director of Academic Studies & Operations of the largest private university in Brunei Darussalam, Laksamana College of Business. In the previous years, Consul B. Mischke worked closely with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kuala Lumpur by organising a series of events promoting Poland, including "Polish Days in Brunei Darussalam" (exhibition about Polish Tatars, culinary workshops, live culinary shows by Polish chefs, lecture on Polish foreign policy) and a concert of Polish classical music DUO Karolina Mikołajczyk & Iwo Jedynecki, to name the few.
We wish the Consul Bogusława Mischke success and hope that her activities will serve to further strengthen Polish-Brunei relations.
At the same time, we would like to inform that the official opening of the Consulate, due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, will take place at later stage.
