About Polish defense attaché mission

On Thursday, 1st February Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak took part in the 14th Defense Attaché Meeting in Warsaw. Also the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of National Defense Tomasz Szatkowski attended the meeting with officers who are currently serving abroad, as well as with foreign service candidates.

Minister Mariusz Blaszczak thanked the officers serving abroad for the tasks they had accomplished so far, which are directly connected with the security of our country and international relations.
- Thank you for your involvement in issues related to the security of Poland and Poles. I am grateful for your efforts devoted to the implementation of your tasks - said Minister Błaszczak.

The minister also outlined the priorities for the coming year and stressed that one of the most important tasks is to strengthen Polish defense potential and increase the guarantee of security for Poland and Poles.

Minister also talked about the presence of NATO troops in Poland, including the US Army, and strengthening the Eastern Flank. One of the topics were also issues related to changes occurring in the international security environment.
 The Head of the Defense Ministry drew attaché's attention to  actions related to 100th Anniversary of Regaining Independence by Poland. In the opinion of Minister Mariusz Błaszczak, all celebrations devoted to the regaining independence by Poland should be clearly demonstrated on the international arena.
