Declaration of the NATO Summit in Washington adopted

Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister,informed about the most important provisions of the declaration of the North Atlantic Alliance Summit, adopted in Washington.
The document contains many points of importance for the security of Poland and the region.
- Commitment to develop further the high readiness forces in order to fulfill NATO's new defense plans;
- A commitment to increase the Alliance's deterrence exercises;
- Launching the anti-missile defense base in Redzikowo and incorporating it in the NATO Defense system;
- Indication that hybrid attacks by Russia and its allies and provocations on NATO's borders are a threat to the entire Alliance. A decision for the entire Alliance to counter these threats;
- Indication that Belarus continued support Russia's aggression against Ukraine by with its territory and infrastructure, as well as allowing for the deployment of Russia's armed forces there negatively affects NATO security;
- The Alliance’s establishment of the military support coordination of for Ukraine;
- 40 billion EUR armament support for the Ukraine;
- Underscoring of the progress in establishing JATEC in Bydgoszcz and establishing a NATO High Representative in Ukraine.
