12.12.2022Korean K9 howitzers will strengthen the newly-created 1st Masurian Artillery Brigade“Soldiers of the 11th Artillery Regiment, from now on the 1st Masurian Artillery Brigade, have received modern equipment. The Russian aggression against Ukraine confirmed how significant it is for the Polish Armed Forces to be strong. How important it is to be equipped with modern and effective weapons. The idea is to deter the aggressor and cause a state in which he will not dare to attack Poland. And he will not dare to do so when the Polish Armed Forces are strong. We efficiently strengthen the Polish Armed Forces, as evidenced by these 24 K9 gun-howitzers imported from South Korea, which now are in the brigade’s equipment" said Deputy Prime Minister Mariusz Błaszczak during the handover of the first K9 gun-howitzers to the Polish Armed Forces.

09.12.2022The first K2 tanks handed over to the soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces“Things have accelerated. On August 26, I approved the contract to purchase K2 tanks for the Polish Armed Forces' equipment. Today, the first examples of these tanks, which arrived in the port of Gdynia a few days ago, are here in the earmarked military unit, in the 20th Mechanized Brigade - a brigade which thanks to the delivery of the K2 tank battalion to Morąg grows. We intend to create another battalion in Ostróda, in the very place where in 2011 the government of the PO-PSL coalition liquidated the previously existing military unit” - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense during the handover of the first K2 tanks to the Polish Armed Forces.

15.11.2022EU defense ministers spoke about support for Ukraine- The meeting of the European Union defense ministers was dedicated to three issues. The commencement of the military training mission for Ukrainian forces was the first one. The operational command of the mission is to be situated in Poland. Its activities will primarily be conducted at the training ground in Wędrzyn - this will be the basic location of the mission - said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense after the meeting of European Union defense ministers in Brussels.

One of the most significant steps in this process is the replacement of worn-out armored combat vehicles. The new machines must be of the highest quality and fully interoperable with our Allies' equipment. Hence, it is no coincidence that next to the tested Borsuk (Badger) armored combat vehicle is displayed alongside the American Bradley. With all certainty, such weaponry will significantly amplify the combat potential of the Polish Armed Forces. It will grow the deterrence potential and scare away the aggressor” said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense after signing the contract for the supply of the weapon system's elements.

02.11.2022The Polish Armed Forces will strengthen border protection in the Kaliningrad Oblast’s neighborhood“I have decided to take measures to strengthen security on the Polish border with the Kaliningrad Oblast. Therefore, today works to construct a temporary wall on our border begins. It will be undertaken by the Polish Armed Forces’ military engineers(…) We use the experience gained last year. There is no doubt that the temporary “dam” has protected the Polish-Belarusian border. It has prevented a hybrid attack from Belarusian territory, or at least it slowed it down significantly” said Mariusz Błaszczak, Deputy Prime Minister-Minister of National Defense, at a press conference.
