Poland joined the drone coalition during the NATO summit in Washington

Together with 12 ministers, at the NATO summit in Washington I signed a memorandum concerning the activities of the drone coalition supporting Ukraine, of which our country is one of participating nations. We will focus on providing the Ukrainian armed forces with various types of drones. This is currently one of the key capabilities that Ukraine urgently needs - said Deputy Prime Minister W. Kosiniak-Kamysz after signing the memorandum on the drone coalition.

On July 10, the head of the Ministry of National Defense signed a memorandum in Washington on the main activities of the drone coalition supporting Ukraine.

The coalition's activities focus on providing the Ukrainian armed forces with various types of drones. This is currently one of the key capabilities that Ukraine needs and which has proven its effectiveness during the war in Ukraine. In addition to the donations, an important aspect will be the involvement of the coalition countries' industries in the production of drones for Ukrainian needs using the fund established to finance purchase and delivery of drones to Ukraine.

The drone coalition consists of: Australia, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, Great Britain and Ukraine. The leading countries are Latvia and Great Britain.

During the NATO summit in Washington, issues related to support for Ukraine are among the key topics, emphasized by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at the press conference.
“I expect Allies to take important decisions on further increase of support for Ukraine, thus strengthening NATO's deterrence and defense, and deepening partnerships with partners in the Indo-Pacific region” - said the Secretary General at the conference before the opening of the NATO summit.
