Today, we pay tribute to Heroes of Warsaw Battle

- On the centennial anniversary of this battle, we wish to pay homage to all who fought and fell but also to express our gratitude to citizens of other European states, who stood by our side in this unequal yet victorious fight - said minister Mariusz Błaszczak during a meeting with soldiers serving in Poland.

Today, we pay tribute to Heroes of Warsaw Battle

On Friday, in Warsaw, the head of the Ministry of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak met with soldiers from NATO’s eFP Battle Group and  representatives of the military diplomatic corps.
 
- I would like to thank to all guests, Generals, officers, soldiers, and also representatives of the military diplomatic corps as well as soldiers serving in eFP, who came to commemorate this crucial battle. (…) He also said; - Let this centennial anniversary be a reminder for all of us that the armed forces, their readiness, the modernization effort were previously and nowadays , the warranty of our security and a decisive response to threats, which we face also today – said minister during the meeting.

Before the meeting minister Mariusz Błaszczak discussed with the Swedish Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist. Ministers talked about strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
