We strengthen the Polish-American relationship

The threats to the regional and global security as well as the Polish-US cooperation aimed at addressing those challenges were the main issues tackled during the meeting Deputy Minister - Under-Secretary of State Mr Tomasz Szatkowski with dr Richard D. Hooker, Jr. - Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Europe and Russia in the National Security Council.

In this context, the presence of American troops in Poland as well as perspectives of their increase were also discussed. Dr Hooker highly appreciated the up to now cooperation between Polish and American Armed Forces and the conditions Poland offers for American soldiers deployed in our country.

With reference to the technical modernization of the Polish Armed Forces, it has been noted that the signing of an agreement regarding the acquisition of Patriot Air and Missile Defense system is expected soon. United States Ambassador to Poland Paul Jones participated in the meeting.
