Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz participates in the NATO Defence Ministers Meeting in Brussels

The October Defence Ministerial Meeting was a first high level NATO event chaired by the new Secretary General Mark Rutte. The discussions focused on deterrence and defence posture, response to Allied airspace violations, air and missile defence, logistics, enablement and resilience as well as assessment of the status of current NATO’s operations and missions.
On the first day of the Ministerial the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting was held in the presence of President V. Zelenskyy. The ministers also met for the first time with their Indo-Pacific counterparts.
On the margins of the NATO sessions the ministers met in a Global Coalition against DAESH format. They summarized the actions of the coalition to date and planned future initiatives.
Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz signed two letters of intent concerning training cooperation. The Allied initiative DIAMOND strengthens interoperability and educational capabilities. The other project is focused on cutting edge training.
Deputy Prime Minister held also bilateral consultations with ministers of defence from Latvia, Luxembourg and Italy.
