The participants of the symposium focused on issues related to building resistance of states to existing threats, especially from Russia.

"The recent cessation of gas supplies to our country is perhaps the best example here. We were aware of such a possibility and we have been preparing for it for years. Our individual resilience translates into the resilience of our Allies" – reiterated the Minister.

During the two-day forum of the North Atlantic Alliance, the speakers discussed issues related to, inter alia, civil-military cooperation in building resilience, new technologies and security in cyberspace, energy security and the impact of climate change on the security of the civilian, military and economic spheres.

"Partner cooperation has always been a priority for Poland, both within the European Union and NATO. This collaboration is not a one-way street. We have the right instruments, but we must maintain the ability to learn from the experiences of others. Ukraine is the best example here. We have all been very deeply involved in Ukraine's defense reform and capacity building. Currently, this support is working. We observe with admiration how the armed forces of Ukraine and the whole society repel the enemy invasion" - Minister Błaszczak emphasized.

The NATO Resilience Symposium 2022 is attended by civilian and military representatives of 30 NATO countries, NATO Headquarters, Strategic Command Transformation (ACT) and five partners (Finland, Georgia, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine). In total, the event, organized by NATO and the Government Center for Security, is attended by approximately 300 guests representing civil and military NATO structures, scientific and academic communities, and the economic sector.
