On January 15 the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to NATO organized a seminar on new, emerging technologies and threats related to their development. Main speakers on the panel LTG Sławomir Wojciechowski, the Commander of the Multinational Corps Northeast in Szczecin, Diego Ruiz Palmer, Special Advisor to the Assistant Secretary General for Defense Policy and Planning, and Jim Thomas, member of the Advisory Board of the Center for a New American Security drew attention to the key importance of the Alliance's continuous adaptation to a changing technological environment, as well as to the need for cooperation between civil and military authorities in the process of adaptation to new challenges. It was also emphasized that new technologies not only pose a threat, but also present new opportunities to strengthen NATO's deterrence and defense policy.

The panelists also presented the historical outline of the Alliance's adaptation to new technological challenges, and also highlighted the operational dimension of the actions taken, including the time of response to emerging threats.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the NATO HQ, NATO commands and Allied delegations.
