The Republic of North Macedonia became the 30th member of the North Atlantic Alliance

Today the Republic of North Macedonia has officially joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. We would like to congratulate the country’s government and citizens on a successful conclusion of the accession process.
Poland is convinced that the Republic of North Macedonia will significantly contribute to our collective security and to extending the area of stability in Europe.
The accession of the Republic of North Macedonia to NATO proves the vitality of the Treaty’s Open Door policy and sends a positive signal to all countries that wish to join the Alliance. We look forward to a successful cooperation with North Macedonia within NATO and to further strengthening of bilateral relations.
