Visit of Ambassador Tomasz Szatkowski in the Allied Joint Force Command in Brunssum

On October 18, Ambassador Tomasz Szatkowski and Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak met with General Erhard Bühler, commander of one of the Allied Joint Force Commands (JFC) and took part in a briefing on the priority tasks of JFC Brunssum.
During the visit key issues for Poland were raised; strengthening NATO's Eastern flank through enhanced forward presence of NATO Battle Groups (eFP) in the Baltic States and on Polish territory, as well as the participation of the Polish contingent in the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
The Allied Joint Force Command (JFC) in Brunssum is one of two NATO operational commands in Europe. The second command is located in Naples, Italy. JFC Brunssum is involved in operational planning, including the RSM mission in Afghanistan, Baltic Air Policing Mission, enhanced forward presence eFP, as well as NATO Response Force (NRF).
