Visit of Permanent Representatives to NATO in Poland

On September 17-18, a group of Permanent Representatives to NATO paid a visit to Poland to review the security situation on NATO's eastern flank and visit strategic locations for Allied cooperation in the face of the war in Ukraine.
Ambassadors and representatives of 23 member countries and the NATO International Secretariat visited Orzysz and Bemowo Piskie, where contingents of American, Romanian, British and Croatian soldiers are stationed as part of the NATO Battle Group in Poland. They became acquainted with the security situation on NATO's eastern flank and took part in the live fire show Autumn Fire at the invitation of the Minister of National Defense, Mariusz Błaszczak. The ambassadors were also informed about the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border in the context of hybrid actions undertaken by the Belarusian regime.
In Warsaw, the group of ambassadors was received by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who presented the Polish position on the most important issues in the field of foreign and security policy of the Republic of Poland. In a conversation with the Prime Minister, the ambassadors expressed their gratitude for Poland's contribution to strengthening and building the capabilities of the North Atlantic Alliance, especially on its eastern flank. During separate meetings, the ambassadors also had the opportunity to talk with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jarosław Lindenberg, and the Head of the Foreign Service, Piotr Rychlik.
Permanent Representatives to NATO also had the opportunity to learn about Poland's role and activities in the field of military, logistic and humanitarian assistance to fighting Ukraine.
