Summary of the neutralisation of golden algae in the locks of the Gliwice Canal. Scientific report

As announced, the Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute has prepared the 'Report on the implementation of experiments for the neutralisation of golden algae in the locks of the Gliwice Canal'. The document summarises the remedial activities supervised by the Institute related to the eradication of Prymnesium parvum, the so-called 'golden" algae,' in the Gliwice Canal.
The research commissioned by the Ministry of Climate and Environment was carried out in cooperation with the General Directorate for Environmental Protection, the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection, the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and the University of Warsaw. Tests, including water sampling, were performed by the Central Research Laboratory of the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection.
Conclusions from the already completed experimental applications of the preparations and the activities carried out, provided by the scientists, have been compiled in a report which is available on the website of the Institute of Environmental Protection.
