Poland in Palestine

On March 22, the Polish Mission in Ramallah met with the Attorney General of the State of Palestine, Mr. Akram Alkhatib, with the presence of his deputy, Prof. Yasser Hammad. The meeting was dedicated to talks not only on current matters related to the processing of requests for legal assistance, but also on prospects for further cooperation and mutual expectations. The Public Prosecutor General introduced us to the specifics of the work of his office, which operates not only in the field of implementation and enforcement of law, but also upholds human rights. In affirmation of these words Mr. A. Alkhatib mentioned the Juvenile Department, operating at the General Prosecutor’s Office since 2016 (in the reality of the occupation, especially for children, the line between the offender and the victim of a crime becomes blurred). Interlocutors expressed their readiness and willingness to continue cooperation, both in the current and long-term perspective.
