Wiesław Kuceł
Representative of the Republic of Poland to Palestine
Born in 1971, career diplomat and civil servant. A graduate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and of national security postgraduate studies at the National Defence University in Warsaw. Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1997. At the Ministry’s headquarters was responsible for bilateral relations with numerous countries in the Middle East and North Africa, including Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mauritania, and Sudan. Head of the Maghreb and Mashreq Section in the Africa and Middle East Department (2016-2019). From 2001 to 2005, as First Secretary at the Polish Embassy in Tel Aviv, was in charge of contacts with the Palestinian Authority. Head of the Political and Economic Section at the Polish Embassy in Beirut (2008-2010). Deputy Head of Mission at the Polish Embassy in Tel Aviv (2010-2015). Head of the Political and Economic Section at the Polish Embassy in Cairo (2019-2021). Since 2024 Representative of the Republic of Poland to Palestine.
