Opening of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Koror

On Monday, 2nd May 2022, Mr. Uchel Tmetuchl, a respected businessman, has been appointed the first Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland to Palau during an auspicious ceremony held in Koror.

Polish charge d'affaires Mr. Jarosław Szczepankiewicz, Consul of the Republic of Poland Mr. Aleksander Parzych, high ranking representatives of the local authorities and honorary consuls of other EU Member States were in attendance in the official conveyance ceremony.

In his speech, Mr. J. Szczepankiewicz expressed the hope that the newly appointed Honorary Consul will provide the assistance to the Polish nationals visting Palau and he will contribute to further development of bilateral relations, notably economic as well as cultural ones. 

The district of the new honorary consulate will cover the whole of the territory of the Republic of Palau.
