Poland in Qatar

Qatar is among the 37 countries participating in the UNIFIL peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, including the three permanent members of the UN Security Council, which on 12 October this year in New York issued a joint statement at the initiative of Poland condemning the recent attacks on the mission's force base.

On 11 September 2024, during a farewell meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Janusz Janke, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Doha, received the Al Wajba decoration.

On the occasion of the official visit of the Amir of the State of Qatar to Poland, Minister Radosław Sikorski gave an interview to Qatar News Agency.

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar paid an official visit to Poland. Talks with President Andrzej Duda focused primarily on economic issues.

The event, co-organized by the Embassy together with PAIH and MRIT on the occasion of the official visit of the Amir of the State of Qatar to Warsaw, brought together more than 200 people, including representatives of nearly 100 Polish companies and more than 60 representatives of Qatari companies and state institutions. Participants in the fifth edition of the Polish-Qatari Forum for New Technologies discussed about the most promising areas of cooperation between our countries.
