Paweł Soloch
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Romania
Paweł Soloch was born in 1962 in Szczecin. Graduate of the Faculty of History at the University of Warsaw. He completed postgraduate studies: Institut De Hautes Etudes En Administration Publique in Lausanne (1990-1991), Ecole Nationale D'Administration, Strasbourg-Paris (1994-1995).
Since 10 October 2022 public advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland.
From 2015 to 2022 Secretary of State - Head of the National Security Bureau.
From 2013-2014 block coordinator and lecturer at the National School of Public Administration.
From 2010 to 2015, expert and then chairman of the board of the Sobieski Institute.
Between 2007 and 2010, adviser to the Head of the National Security Bureau.
In 2005-2007, Undersecretary of State, Head of National Civil Defence at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration.
In 2004-2005 chief specialist and then advisor at the Warsaw City Hall.
From 2001 to 2003, Pro-rector for Student Affairs and International Relations at the Melchior Wańkowicz School of Journalism in Warsaw and then Deputy Director at the Centre for European and Atlantic Studies of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw.
From 1999-2005, assistant at the Polish Academy of Sciences at the Institute of Political Studies.
From 1999 to 2001 acting director of the Department of Public Security at the Ministry of Interior Affairs and Administration.
From 1998 to 1999, adviser to the Prime Minister and then deputy director of the Department of Defence Affairs at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
From 1996 to 1998, he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministerial Adviser in the Department of Security Policy).
From 1992 to 1994 at the Ministry of Defence in the Defence Policy Office and the Strategic Studies Department (senior specialist-coordinator).
In 1992, work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (senior counsellor).
In 1989, he worked in the National Electoral Office of the „Solidarność” Citizens' Committee, (Electoral Promotion Team). Then, from 1990, at the Foundation for the Development of Local Democracy as a specialist.
Co-created and coordinated work on the Crisis Management Act, co-created and coordinated on the part of the President of the Republic of Poland the National Security Strategy in 2020.
Author of articles and publications in the field of administration, national security and crisis management, lectured at the National School of Public Administration and Colegium Civitas.
