On 20 - 21 February 2023 the humanitarian event organized by King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and Relief in collaboration with the United Nations was held
On 20-21 February 2023, the 3rd International Humanitarian Forum organised by the King Salman Humanitarian Centre (KSRelief) in collaboration with the UN was held in Riyadh. The event was attended by, among others, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, KSRelief Chief Dr Abdullah al-Rabeeah, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths, Director General of International Organization for Migration Antonio Vitorino, UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič, UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Commissioner General Philippe Lazzarini, UN HABITAT Executive Director Maimunah Mohamed Sharif, Director-General of the International Committee of the Red Cross Robert Mardini and Islamic Development Bank President Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser.
The main theme of this year's Forum was the evolution of humanitarian needs and responses. Participants in the event - representatives of humanitarian donors, governmental and non-governmental organisations as well as humanitarian researchers - discussed global humanitarian practices and policies, and exchanged experiences on solutions and effective responses on the ground to deliver humanitarian aid effectively and efficiently.
The event was also attended by the Director of the Department of Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Ms Karolina Krupa.
