Celebrations on the Occasion of the Polish National Independence Day in Jeddah

On November 7th in Jeddah celebrations on the occasion of the Polish National Independence Day took place. In cooperation with the Honorary Consul of Poland in Jeddah, a solo violin recital by Polish artist was performed, as well as the exhibition about famous Poles was shown.
On November 7th, in cooperation with the Honorary Consul of Poland in Jeddah Sheikh Hassan Omar Attar, a solo violin recital by Polish artist Voytek Proniewicz was performed. The concert of the Polish violinist, awarded at international competitions in Lublin, Łódź and Hradec nad Moravici, honored the celebration of the 101st anniversary of regaining independence. The artist has presented his own violin interpretations of famous composers’ works: Fryderyk Chopin, Karol Lipiński, Nicolo Paganini, Jan Sebastian Bach, Krzysztof Penderecki and others. The ceremony was accompanied by the exhibition “Known Unknown. The Poles’ Contribution to the World”, which was presented for the first time in Jeddah. The concert was followed by a solemn reception, to which representatives of the local diplomatic corps and members of the Polish Diaspora in Jeddah were invited.
