On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of establishing bilateral relations between the Republic of Poland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (03.05.1995 - 03.05.2020), we are proud to present a series of articles and archival materials on the history of bilateral relations in the last quarter of a century and the events that led to them.

ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HONORARY CONSULATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND IN JEDDAH

 

After opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Riyadh on June 17th 1998, efforts were undertaken to appoint the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Jeddah.

On January 19th 2000, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland signed the Decision No. 5 establishing the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Jeddah and appointing Sheikh Hassan Omar Saddik Attar as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland on February 1st 2000. This year, the Honorary Consulate in Jeddah celebrates its 20th anniversary.
