As part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War, an exhibition showing the fighting and suffering of the Polish nation in 1939-1945 was presented in the residence of the Polish Ambassador.

On September 16th, in the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, a presentation of the exhibition "Fighting and Suffering. Polish Citizens during World War II" took place. The exhibition, prepared by the Museum of the Second World War in Gdańsk, was presented as a part of the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War II.

The exhibition focuses on the story of Poland's struggle against two totalitarian regimes, of the Poles' love of freedom, of the courage of Polish soldiers as well as ordinary people in their fight to defend themselves and other nations. The purpose of the exhibition was to pay homage to them and to commemorate their heroic struggle.
