Poland in Saudi Arabia

On May 2nd 2024 a ceremonial reception on the occasion of the Day of the May 3rd Constitution was held at the residence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh. The numerous guests, including representatives of the diplomatic corps, Saudi authorities, business and the Polish community, listened to three anthems this year, namely the Saudi and Polish ones, but also the Ode to Joy, which functions as the anthem of the European Union. This accent referred to the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Poland's membership in the EU. Guests had the opportunity to try Polish cuisine and even real Polish donuts. The Ambassador's Residence was visited by over 400 guests that evening, and the guest of honor was the representative of the Assistant Deputy Governor of Riyadh, Nabil Al Taweel. The local Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented by the director of Diplomatic Protocol, Mohammed Al Ghamdi.
