Poland in Saudi Arabia

The 3rd edition of the European Film Festival took place from 29 May to 6 June 2024. Co-organised by the Delegation of European Unionto the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of European embassies accredited in Saudi Arabia, the festival was the largest film event of its kind in the country. A record number - 21 - of contemporary European films were screened, and there were also four side events, including meetings with filmmakers.

The Polish Embassy in Riyadh once again participated in the event. The Polish documentary ' The Balcony Movie', directed by Pawel Lozinski, was screened twice at the festival - in Riyadh and in Jeddah - winning the hearts of the audience. During the screening at the VOX Century Corner Cinema in Riyadh on 3 June 2024, Deputy Ambassador Mr Paweł Mączka welcomed the audience and gave a short speech introducing the film to them.
