04.06.2021Polish Returns NAWA ProgrammeThe Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) has announced a call for proposals under the Polish Returns NAWA Programme. The aim of the Polish Returns NAWA Programme is to allow prominent Polish scientists to return to their country and take up employment at Polish higher education institutions, scientific units or research institutes. The Programme will create optimal conditions for returning scientists to conduct world-class scientific research or developmental work in Poland. Polish higher education institutions, scientific units and research institutes will acquire specialists with international experience and knowledge in the field of the newest research trends in their scientific discipline.

02.06.2021Polish-Lithuanian commemoration of the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May and Mutual Pledge of the Commonwealth of the Two NationsOn June 2, Ambassadors of Poland and Lithuania to Finland, met Ms. Johanna Ojala-Niemelä, Chairperson of the Constitutional Committee of the Finnish Parliament, as well as Ambassador of Portugal to Finland (presiding over EU Council), to commemorate the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth of May 3rd and the Mutual Pledge.

03.05.2021230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 MayWhen on 3 May 1791 the Four-Year Sejm also called the Great Sejm adopted The Government Act of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth later known as the Constitution of 3 May, the Polish-Lithuanian state became the Europe’s first and the world’s second that passed the basic law. For its time, it was a progressive and bold legal act which initiated a number of reforms. It also constituted a crowning achievement of the centuries-old links between Poland and Lithuania.

19.04.2021Polish and Israeli Diplomats Jointly Commemorate the 78th Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto UprisingThis year, for the first time in history, the foreign ministers of Poland and Israel, Professor Zbigniew Rau and Lt. Gen. (res.) Gabi Ashkenazi, and both countries’ ambassadors in EU member states and across the globe, have come together to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. From Brazil to Europe, from Kazakhstan to Vietnam, more than 50 Polish and Israeli ambassadors are marking this special anniversary together by taking part in the Daffodil Campaign, organized by the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. This effort by Polish and Israeli diplomats is an opportunity to raise awareness of the history of the heroes and heroines of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, while also highlighting the international dimension of Polish-Israeli collaboration in commemorating its tragic history.

Visegrad-ryhmän maiden, Unkarin, Slovakian ja Tšekin tasavallan kansalliset postitoimistot käyttävät Agnieszka Sobczyńskan postimerkin projektia. Postimerkki edistää erityisesti Visegrad-ryhmän yhteistyömuotoa. Jokaisessa Visegrad-ryhmän maassa luotiin erillinen postimerkki.
