100th birthday anniversary of Polish legendary SciFi writer Stanisław Lem in Bangkok

The Embassy of Poland in Bangkok with Ambassador Waldemar Dubaniowski and Ewa Dubaniowska hosted SciFi movie and exhibition night on the occasion of the centennial of Stanisław Lem’s birth on 22 November at Alliance Française in Bangkok.

Adventures with SciFi_1

That was one of the first live events in Bangkok after recent relaxation of pandemic restrictions.

The event program included:

 -  Screening of “The Congress” (2013) movie, based on Stanisław Lem's 1971 Polish science fiction novel “The Futurological Congress”, dir. by Ari Folman, cinematography by Michał Englert;

 - "Magic Realism in Polish Art" exhibition presenting with works of Contemporary Polish Artists: Karol Bąk, Katarzyna Bułka-Matłacz, Marcin Kołpanowicz, Jarosław Kukowski and Rafat Olbinski;

- Polish pączki from HolyDonut - PĄCZKARNIA.
