"Chopin, from Warsaw to Bangkok" concert in a tribute to one of the most remarkable composers in the history of music, Fryderyk Chopin organised by the Embassy of Poland in Bangkok in cooperation with Bangkok Chopin Society on 12.03.2020 in Alliance Française proved that that friendship and good music has no boundaries!
The great performance of Chopin music by talented Thai youngsters Pimmie, Lara, Winnie, Indre, Minnie, Shindai, Angie and Eve uplifted souls of public crowded to have a chance to be with us that night! Bravo, bravo to our wonderful solists! The concert was part of celebration of 210th birth’s anniversary of great Polish composer and pianist, Fryderyk Chopin. Due to it numerous Thai and international audience was invited to say loudly the name of his birthplace “Żelazowa Wola”. The audience was warmly greeted by Ambassador Mr Waldemar Dubaniowski, Directrice d’Alliance Française Ms Pascale Fabre and President of Bangkok Chopin Society Lucia Menchavez Thangsuphanich. The young soloists were granted diplomas and excellent Polish books „Trees” and „Bees” (in Thai translations) by Ambassador and Spouse Ms Ewa Dubaniowska. The sponsor of the books was Thai publishing house Nanmeebooks. The excellent exhibition dedicated to Chopin’s extraordinary life and creation inaugurated during the event is available until the end of March in Alliance Française! The concert was followed by light refreshments!
