Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz visits Thailand and Myanmar

“Poland believes that Southeast Asia countries have a great potential, especially with regard to commercial relations. In order to boost economic cooperation, we need to enhance political dialogue” underlined Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz during his visit to Thailand and Myanmar.
While in Thailand, Deputy Minister Marcin Przydacz met with his counterpart Vijavat Isarabhakdi to discuss bilateral cooperation in politics, the economy (including agri-food industry), investment, defence and the military, research and higher education, as well as tourism. Deputy Minister Przydacz inaugurated a seminar hosted by the Thai Defence Technology Institute where Polish arms industry groups Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and WB Group presented their offer. He also met with Thai entrepreneurs interested in investing in Poland.
During the Myanmar visit, political consultations were held in Nay Pyi Taw with Soe Han, Secretary of State in Myanmar’s MFA. The agenda included bilateral cooperation and situation in Rakhine state. On the sidelines of the consultations, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the foreign ministries of the two countries which sets out a mechanism of regular political consultations. The Polish delegation also participated in a health centre opening ceremony in Thaminbay financed by Polish MFA under Polish Development Cooperation programme.
