Poland in Thailand

Delegation of the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations Warsaw University, prof. dr hab. Jakub Zajączkowski (Dean's Representative for cooperation and international research programs), Dr. Łukasz Gołota (Department of Regional and Global Studies) and Jakub Nowotarski (head of the promotion and communication office) visited Thammasat University, Srinakharinwirot University and Chulalongkorn University.

The Faculty has been cooperating with Srinakharinwirot University and Chulalongkorn University for several years. This time, the cooperation with Thammasat University has been initiated. During the visit, the issues of joint scientific seminars and journal publishing were discussed. Important topics were also: future student and academic staff’s exchanges, the possibility of the so-called double diploma (two universities degree).

In addition to bilateral talks, there were held seminars on Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University with lectures of prof. dr hab. J. Zajączkowski, among others on "EU, QUAD and new order in Indo-Pacific" and Dr. Ł. Gołota "RCEP and its impact on EU trade with Asia" presenting the Polish point of view on the relationship between the European Union and ASEAN countries and the issue of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The Faculty pursues a strategy of active cooperation with universities and institutions in the Southeast Asia region in line with the strategic goals of Polish diplomacy.
