Ambassador Artur Pollok runs for the post of President of the WFP Executive Board

Elections to the World Food Program's (WFP) supreme governing body will be held on Monday, February 27th. For the first time in history, a representative of Poland has a chance to take over the position of the Executive Board President in this UN agency and the largest humanitarian organization in the world.
The WFP Executive Board is composed of 36 countries. The body provides support, intergovernmental oversight and management to the organization. The Council makes decisions by consensus and is led by the President of the WFP Executive Board. This position is currently held by Banglian Shameem Ahsa.
