‘@Polska in the Game - Digital Dreamers’ in Geneva

‘@Polska in the Game - Digital Dreamers’ was a leading theme of the event promoting the Polish Game Industry. The opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the achievements of the Polish GAMEDEV took place on Monday July 10, 2023 at the Headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO ) in Geneva.

The project, co-organized by the Polish Games Association, the SPIDOR Association, the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) and the Institute of Adam Mickiewicz enjoyed great interest from the participants of this year's session of the 64th session of the General Assemblies.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition and interactive game stands was attended by the Director General of WIPO Daren Tang.

Presentations about various initiatives and activities aimed at strengthening development of the game industry in Poland were delivered during the opening of the exhibition. The participants of the event have had an opportunity to discuss issues related to the protection of intellectual property, in context of the development of industries based on intangible values, engaging  youth in GAMEDEV or connecting the games with arts and education strategies. Presentation of the Polish mentoring program entitled "Women in the game" and the Team Competition of Computer Games was very positively received and inspired a discussion on various solutions conducive to building opportunities for young generations.

The latest edition of the report on the Polish Game Industry Sector was also introduced to the participants.

The project gained a lot of interest among the participants of the WIPO General Assemblies 2023. Visitors primarily emphasized the innovative nature of the stand.  Exchange on the lessons learnt on how to develop opportunities for generations of young creators, in particular women, in innovative and creative sectors, were also appreciated.

The theme of the exhibition feeds into the ongoing WIPO's projects and activities, focused on strengthening the potential of young talents, innovators and artists.
