'She inspires. CEBS Women Design' - event promoting the achievements of women from Central Europe and the Baltic States at WIPO

Nineteen countries of the Regional Group of the Central European and Baltic States (CEBS) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) came together under Polish leadership to organize an unforgettable project entitled "She inspires. CEBS Women Designs” held on Friday July 7, 2023 at the WIPO Headquarter in Geneva. The event included a Fashion show of designs collections from CEBS countries and an exhibition featuring creative designs products created by Women from countries belonging to the group.
The opening of the project was attended by the Director General of WIPO Daren Tang, the President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland Edyta Demby-Siwek and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the UN in Geneva, Ambassador Zbigniew Czech. The main participants in the opening ceremony were members of the delegations participating in the 64th Session of the General Assemblies of WIPO (Geneva, July 6-14).
The event is the result of effective cooperation between the CEBS countries under the Polish coordination in 2023.
The exhibition as well as the fashion show has been a collective project undertaken by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, Permanent Mission of Poland to the UN in Geneva, Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Academy of Fine Arts. Strzemiński in Łódź and the Polish Trade and Investment Agency - PAIH.
The theme of the event amplifies this year's celebrations of the World Intellectual Property Day (IP World Day), dedicated to the promotion of women in the creative and innovative sectors. The project has been met with great interest from the participants of the WIPO General Assemblies 2023.
The undertaking was one of the largest events organized on the sidelines of this year's WIPO General Assemblies.
