Limiting of the work of Polish consular offices in the UK in connection with the announcement by the British government of the order to stay at home

23.03.2020

The British government has today announced a "social blockade" to stop the coronavirus pandemic, which the British prime minister called the “biggest threat this country has faced for decades”. Due to this decision and in caring for your health and safety, all Polish consular offices in the United Kingdom (in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast) are limiting their services to emergency situations, extremely urgent cases and cases requiring immediate action.

Information about coronavirus

In light of the British government's decision to significantly reduce all activities, including leaving home unless it is "absolutely necessary", we urge you to follow these guidelines, stay at home and cancel your visit to a consular office.

In urgent matters, please contact us by email or phone.

Telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of consular offices:

Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London

Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Manchester

Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh

Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Belfast

Visa and passport applications and appointments for civil and legal matters have been suspended until further notice. This means that it is also not possible to sign up through the e-Konsulat system.

Passports can only be collected by post. Those who have previously declared in-person collection of passports are asked to send a pre-paid and self-addressed envelope as well as a completed and signed application for sending the passport by post.

All matters that do not require a personal appearance will be dealt with by correspondence.

We kindly remind you that information on consular matters is provided 24/7 by the Consular Information Centre: +44 2030 789618.

In urgent matters outside of office hours, please call the duty number: +44 2030 789621 or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs helpline on crossing borders: +48 22 523 8880.

Useful information and answers to frequently asked questions on all aspects of the consulate's activities can be found on the website in the consular information section.
